Band

Round 1:
Ch 6, ss in beg ch to join, Ch 1, sc in ea st around.
Round 2:
Sc to join(mnr), sc in ea st around.(8sts)
Repeat round 2 until project is slightly longer than your headband(Mine was almost 15 1/2 inches). Ss at end. Fasten Off leaving tail. Use tail and needle to sew this end of the band closed. Insert head band through other end. Sew other end closed with yarn and needle.

Assembly

Stuff both the muffs evenly. Insert one end of band into earmuff. Make sure you place it on the outside facing of the stuffing(or it will hurt your ears). NOTE~ You may wish to add hot glue to the ends to hold the headband in place better, I found my daughters came loose..which was annoying.

Using the 'closing' yarn and needle, finish sewing the hole closed.Sew around the band to fasten it to the muff, being sure to close the hole completely. Sew away all ends.
