Free Valentine Crochet Pattern for Formal Fingerless Gloves by Niftynnifer

Adult sized
Wouldn't you love a more formal set of fingerless gloves for a specail day? So easy to make and surprisingly warmer than they look.

I used:
4.5 MM hook or Hook Needed to obtain gauge.
Aunt Lydias Crochet Thread, Fashion Size 3. This will use 150 yds of size 3 Crochet thread.
Round Markers.

Gauge:
Approximately 6 rows = 2 inches.
Approximately 9 Hdc = 2 inches.

Advice:
Mark new rows.
Save time, measure your gauge.
Read Before Proceed.
Measure the hand you are making them for.
Size may vary by each individuals crochet tention!
Be creative and add your own special touch!
Hide all knots and ends inside!
First ch's in ea row count as first st in that row.

BASE
Row 1:
Ch 43. Hdc in 3rd ch from hook. Hdc in ea st across. (42sts)
Rows 2-16: Working in back loops only!
Ch 2. Turn. Hdc in ea bl across.(42sts)

Fold larger sides together. Match up sts. Now working through both sides (to form seam, unless otherwise stated!). Ss across next 6 sts, sc in next st, sc through front side only for next 5 sts(You will place these 5 sc's through back side only for other glove)(Forming thumb hole). Sc in next st, ss in ea st across. Do not Fasten Off.

Cuff
Round 1:
*Ch 3, ss on next post*. Repeat from * to * 17 more times.

Finger end
Round 1:
Ss to join new yarn. *Ch 3, ss on next post*. Repeat from * to * 17 more times.

Thumb
Round 1: Working left to right with first glove, and right to left with other glove.
Ss in bottom of thumb(closer to fingers) to join new yarn. Ss in next st, sc in next 2 sts, hdc in next 7 sts, sc in next 2 sts, ss in next 3 sts. Fasten off.











Take a moment to weave in ends.
I also turned mine inside out...I liked them better that way.
