Free Crochet Pattern ~Cheeky Little Monkey Blanket & Pillow

http://www.niftynnifer.com/2018/01/free-crochet-pattern-cheeky-little.html

I bought my daughter this Fingerling/Happy Monkey for Christmas and she fell in love with him instantly. He is an interactive little monkey that holds onto your finger, makes silly noises when he swings by his tail. He blows back kisses and snores. Now he can snuggle up with his new blanket and pillow and snore happily.
This pattern was fun to make up and didn't take very long to make, using mostly half double crochet(hdc) and single crochet(sc) stitches. My daughter played for hours after I completed this project.

Materials Required:
3.5mm crochet hook.
Patons Grace Yarn. Light 3. Color: Sky.
Darning Needle (for sewing in ends).
Scissors.
Row/Round markers.
Cotton Stuffing.

Review ~A Review And Science

Review ~A Review And Science http://www.niftynnifer.com/2015/02/review-review-and-science.html

This boy is so smart. After we (He and I) enrolled in the
free 'Stunning Birthday Cards' class from Craftsy, He
decided to take the cards to a whole new level. Here is a great photo of him hard at work on this years Science Fair Project. He decided to incorporate the Penny Slider Card idea into his project!! And it sure does add some fun to his hard work. We have had hours of fun preparing his display board, and I am so proud of his hard work.

Repurposed ~ Boots To Bird Houses

A few years ago my sons, my husband & I made these super cool bird houses, using my boy's old rubber boots.

I came across a few of the photos today. It reminded me of that wonderful day, when they were so much younger!

We used:
2 pairs of old rubber boots.
A sharp knife (to cut the door holes).
Screws.
Scrap Wood (roof).
Bolts (perch).

My husband did all the 'Grown Up' work, and the twins had so much fun helping put them together!

Mini Outhouse For Children By Niftynnifer

Look What My Husband Made This Time!!

Pictured is a fully usable Mini Outhouse made for my 5 1/2 year old daughter.
Great for emergencies, when your little one just can't make it all the way back to the house!

What amazes me the most is Shawn made this completely out of ''Extras'' from previous projects.

Solar Powered Lights: Made from broken outdoor solar lights, and broken bubble gum machines(The small Dollar store ones).  The bubble gum machine tops are used as light shades.
Siding, shingles, & wood: All left over from previous projects.
Our old potty seat, cut to size.
Left over floor tiles, and a used towel holder for the toilet paper.
At night the moon window is illuminated by the solar powered lights inside.

All it needs now is a hand sanitiser machine...
