Halloween Costume Idea ~Zombie Lego Man

Halloween Costume Idea ~Zombie Lego Man http://www.niftynnifer.com/2014/10/halloween-costume-idea-zombie-lego-man.html
Most boys and girls love Lego!
One of my sons asked to be a Lego man for Halloween. He is a huge fan, and has built many sets. His collection is wonderful for an 11 year old boy, with almost every piece in it's place.
So I decided with his age, he has very few years left to enjoy 'trick or treating'. I don't know if I captured the whole Lego Zombie Apocalypse thyme, but I sure tried and my sons smile was all that mattered in the end.

Repurposed ~ Boots To Bird Houses

A few years ago my sons, my husband & I made these super cool bird houses, using my boy's old rubber boots.

I came across a few of the photos today. It reminded me of that wonderful day, when they were so much younger!

We used:
2 pairs of old rubber boots.
A sharp knife (to cut the door holes).
Screws.
Scrap Wood (roof).
Bolts (perch).

My husband did all the 'Grown Up' work, and the twins had so much fun helping put them together!

Recycled Broken Waterfall By Niftynnifer

I received this fountain a few years ago for free. It was cracked and had no pump.
I turned it into a new rock garden and it was so simple!

#1: Drill holes in bottom to allow for drainage when over watered.(The bottom of mine is already cracked).
#2: Put the Waterfall together where you want it. (It will be very heavy when you are finished.
#3: Add a layer of soil.
#4: Put in a plant that is tolerant to your zone. I like "Hens n Chicks''.
#5: Add a layer of stones around your plants.(Don't squish them, or use too big of stones).
#6: Decorate the area around your new garden addition.

Yarn Ends Recycle Craft For Birds By Niftynnifer

Don't throw out those little pieces you have lying around ! Cut them approx 2 inches each (don't worry about too big or too small..'cause the birds won't care). Stuff them into a suet feeder (without any suet!) Hang out for the birds. This will give baby birds the warmth they need, and add color to their nests!

Try stuffing a grape vine star full of yarn bits.
This will look wonderful in my gardens in the spring, and summer months... In the fall, the squirrels will take the left overs for their nests too, (as long as they can reach them).
